Where the record comes from

Space Lab starts from a room you describe. Dimensions, obstacles, doors and ceilings are measured, observed, supplied by the venue, estimated, or still unknown. Unknown is kept unknown. It is not filled in from a database of venues.

There is no catalogue count on this page because the catalogue is not the product. An older directory of venue records still answers at its old addresses, for bookmarks. It does not measure a room, and it is not kept current as a planning tool.

The thresholds — confidence classes, what an absence means, why a published capacity cannot clear a headcount — are stated once, in the rulebook, from the code that applies them.

What you get, in order

A room record
Length, width, and the things that take floor, each with an evidence class.
A consequence
Fit, clearances, flow, hire, the flip, or whatever instrument you asked.
What is known
Measured, observed, or supplied — and labelled as that, not as a guess.
What still needs confirming
Every open question, kept visible rather than filled.
A way to carry it
The same record into a site visit, and then into Atmosphere, unknowns intact.

How a figure is allowed to count

Measured — a tape, on this room, with a date.
Observed — seen on a visit, and written down as seen.
Supplied — a plan, a spec, or a sentence the venue sent. It stays theirs, with the date it was read.
Estimated — a planning assumption. It can size a first pass. It cannot clear a constraint.
Unknown — not a failure, and not a pass. It becomes a question for the site visit.

UnknownUnknown is not failure. It means verify this before committing.

The marks above are the same ones the instruments use. Their definitions are in the rulebook: EVID-01 for why classes are never blended, EVID-02 for what an absence is, and CAP-04 for why a published capacity can contradict a headcount but never clear one.

What this will not do

It does not rank. A room with fewer open questions is not a better room. It may simply be one you have measured.
It does not book, hold, or quote. No date here is checked against availability and no figure here is a price.
It does not tell you whether a room is right. Whether it is beautiful, whether it suits the evening, whether it is worth the money — those are kept out on purpose, and listed as kept out.
It does not certify compliance. Accessibility, licensing, fire and insurance are things a venue must answer for in writing, on its own paper.
It does not illustrate a room with a photograph of a different one. A drawing on these pages is a schematic. If a property photograph exists, it belongs to that record and its credit, not to the product’s front door.

What is counted about your visit

Anonymous page-view counts are collected through Vercel Web Analytics, the service this site is hosted on. They are cookieless and carry no account or personal identifier, and they are sent to this site’s own address rather than to a third-party host. Every address has its query string removed before it is counted, so the event details you enter and anything you search for are never included, and the page that receives a plan from Atmosphere is not counted at all. Saved rooms, cost figures and documents you add stay in your browser.
